What happens when you get a cannula in hospital?

Zoe gets a cannula so the nurses can give her medication. She used to find it difficult to get a cannula, but now she is ok with it. She smiles when she tells us that having a chat and getting cold spray really helps her. Many children feel much better about having a procedure when they see other children being ok with it. Sometimes imagining what is going to happen is worse than actually having the procedure.

Depending on the age and ability of the child you can watch this video alone or together with your child to prepare for hospital.
