What happens when my child has an EEG?
This video by the What? Why? Children in Hospital charity shows what happens when your child needs to have an EEG (or electroencephalogram) to look at their brain waves patterns. The physiologists uses electrodes, gel and cream to look at your child's brain. This video will help families prepare for an EEG. Parents could show this video to their child before their appointment to help them understand what is going to happen in hospital. This video was developed in partnership with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
