My newborn baby has a hearing screen in hospital

Hearing screening programmes are used to see if a newborn baby has hearing problems. The hearing screen is done in hospital in the days after the baby is born. Our video shows 10 day old Caoimhe sleeping while she is having the hearing screen. This video shows what happens in the screen and how long it takes. This test is used in newborn hearing screening programmes across the world including UK, USA, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands and Germany. This video was developed in partnership with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
