How do I prepare my child with a learning disability for using healthcare services?

Our video shows interviews with parents of children with a learning disability. The parents share experiences and different ways they prepare their child for going to hospital, the doctor, the dentist or the optometrist. The use of social stories, hospital videos, a happy bag and a three-week calendar are being discussed. The importance of good communication and the support from hospital staff, including the learning disability nurses is highlighted.
