When children have an appointment at the respiratory department it can help to watch our videos to see what happens during lung tests such as the breathing tests (pulmonary function test), Cardio Pulmonary Exercise Test (CPET) and sleep studies. We also filmed the Skin Prick Test used to check for allergies and the Sweat Test used to diagnose or to rule our Cystic Fibrosis. Our videos show what happens when children need an inhaler for asthma or a CPAP or BiPAP mask for overnight ventilation support. Children who are prepared for hospital procedures feel less anxious, more in control and are better able to complete the tests and treatments.
